What is a Boomer Shooter?

A Boomer Shooter is a type of first-person shooter including and reminiscent of classic fast-paced, no-shits-given shooters like Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, and Blood.

While the exact definition of the term is still debated, we have decided to include any games that fit what we consdier to be the spirit of the Boomer Shooter. For this reason, we have opted to include titles such as those in the Turok franchise and other first-person shooters that capture the essence of the boomer shooter.
